Chat integration

Microsoft Teams and Pacia

Pacia runs one centrally operated Teams bot. Your admin downloads an app package and uploads it in Teams Admin Center; there are no Azure resources to create, no app registration to make and no client secrets to hand over.

What Pacia reads from Microsoft Teams

  • Channel membership for the channels Pacia is added to

  • Posts the queue and alerts you configure per team

Connecting it

  1. Download the app package 1 min

Providers → Microsoft Teams → Download app ZIP. Pacia uses its own Microsoft Entra application; you do not enter a tenant id or Microsoft credentials.

  2. Upload it in Teams Admin Center 3 min

Teams apps → Manage apps → Actions → Upload new app, then add Pacia Engineering Intelligence from "Built for your organization".

  3. Add it to a channel 1 min

The installation event connects and discovers the channel automatically — no mention or connect command is needed.

  4. Configure per team 2 min

Settings → Teams → the engineering team → Notifications. Pacia reads the channel layout and shows it as Posts or Threads beside the channel name.

Limits, stated up front

Every integration page on this site lists what the integration does not do. Finding that out during a trial is worse for both of us than finding it out now.

  • A newly added channel occasionally needs a provider-page refresh before it appears.

  • Notification settings are per team rather than organisation-wide.
